Fleming County Fiscal Court approves budgets, transfers and routine orders

The Fleming County Fiscal Court unanimously approved a slate of financial and administrative measures at its Dec. 10 meeting, including month‑end reports, transfers, claims payments and the sheriff’s 2020 budget and salary orders.
County Treasurer Kathy Dryden presented the November 2019 month‑end financial reports totaling $1,868,023.33, covering the General Fund ($980,285.80), Road Fund ($272,118.26), Jail Fund ($2,959.81), LGEA Fund ($128,406.81), Forest Fire Fund ($913.99), Revolving Loan Fund ($7,699.35), Dispatch Fund ($170,563.32) and Capital Improvement Fund ($305,075.99). The Fiscal Court approved the reports by unanimous vote.
The court also approved the October 2019 County Road Maintenance Reports totaling $254,197.98 and authorized budget and cash transfers as presented. The claims docket and carry‑in claims were approved, including authorization to pay Hanson Aggregates up to $3,125.00 for rock.
The court approved several sheriff‑related actions: the Fleming County Sheriff’s 2020 budget, the 2020 Statement of Advancement and the 2020 Annual Order setting salaries. The jailer’s report and the Fleming County Sheriff’s monthly report for November were likewise approved.
Other routine items approved included keeping the garage permit fee at $25 per hauler, the 2020 county holiday schedule, and the reappointment of Lynda Skaggs to the Fleming County Board of Health for a term from Jan. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2022.
The meeting concluded with the court adjourning at 10:15 a.m.
