Fleming County Fiscal Court approves FY2020-21 contracts, insurance, transfers and grant applications

Fleming County Fiscal Court voted unanimously on June 9 to approve a package of FY2020-21 contracts, insurance agreements, transfers and grant applications, and to authorize the county judge/executive to sign required documents.
The court, called to order by Fleming County Judge/Executive Larry H. Foxworthy, approved routine business that included the appointment of John Hyatt to the Fleming County Planning Commission for a four-year term beginning July 1, 2020. The court also approved the FY2020-21 Anthem health insurance agreement, the KACo All Lines Fund insurance and workers’ compensation agreements, and supplier agreements with Compass Minerals and Hanson Aggregates for road salt and aggregates.
The County Treasurer’s month-end financial reports for May 31, 2020 were approved as presented, showing total county funds of $1,788,406.41, with balances listed by fund: General Fund $875,273.77; Road Fund $335,218.87; Jail Fund $15,366.76; LGEA Fund $154,209.36; Forest Fire Fund $361.75; Revolving Loan Fund $6,537.19; Dispatch Fund $95,160.41; Capital Improvement Fund $306,278.30. The court approved budget transfers, cash transfers and claims reports as presented.
The court authorized submission of the FY2020-21 Waste Tire Grant Application and approved Resolution 20-1310 authorizing application for Coronavirus Relief Fund monies, each with delegated signing authority to the County Judge/Executive. The body also approved Resolution 20-1309 establishing the FY2020-21 Cafeteria Plan for county employees.
Votes at a glance: all listed motions were recorded as unanimous.
