Sevier County commissioners approve appointments, proclamations and finalize April 15 agenda

Mayor Waters then presented an appointment to fill Sevier County Board of Commissioners District 9, Seat B. Commissioner Carroll Rauhuff moved to accept the appointment; Commissioner Harold Pitner seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The commission also adopted two proclamations honoring local high school teams. Proclamation 2024-04-01 recognized the Sevier County High School girls basketball team for advancing to the 2024 TSSAA Class AAA state championship tournament; Proclamation 2024-04-02 recognized the King’s Academy girls basketball team for advancing to the 2024 TSSAA Class 2-A state championship tournament. Commissioner Ronnie Allen moved to accept both proclamations; Commissioner Aaron Foster seconded, and the motions passed unanimously.
Finally, Mayor Waters presented the Board of Commissioners final agenda for the April 15 regular meeting. Commissioner Harold Pitner moved to accept the final agenda; Commissioner Carroll Rauhuff seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Carroll Rauhuff moved to adjourn the steering committee meeting; Commissioner Aaron Foster seconded.
