Residents raise transportation and bussing concerns during Chartiers Valley public comment

Rich Poploski of 609 Elm St., Bridgeville, spoke about transportation concerns. Denise O’Neill of 1110 Sarah St., Bridgeville, addressed bussing and curriculum-related questions and later returned during non-agenda public comments with questions about the Intermediate School and international students. Leo Stankus of 606 Lincoln Ave., Heidelberg, spoke about bus-driver and transportation concerns. The minutes record these individuals as speaking on agenda items related to transportation.
Shortly after public comment, the board approved a student transportation agreement with D. Briggs Transportation LLC for the current school year (agenda item 10.14). That motion, moved by Ms. Huehn and seconded by Mr. Choura, passed with an 8–YES, 1–NO tally on a voice vote; individual board votes were not specified in the minutes.
