Chartiers Valley board approves budgets, contracts and policies; student transportation contract passes 8–1

At its Feb. 10 legislative meeting, the Chartiers Valley Board of School Directors approved January budget payments, multiple contracts and policy readings, accepted gifts and grants, deputized Jordan Tax Service for local tax collection, and approved a student transportation agreement with D. Briggs Transportation LLC by an 8–1 vote.

The Chartiers Valley Board of School Directors met Feb. 10, 2026, in the Primary School Auditorium and approved a series of budget, contract and policy items that the board said addressed operations, safety and student services.

The board unanimously approved January 2026 payments for the 2025–2026 annual budget, payments of construction invoices, and a set of resolutions deputizing Jordan Tax Service, Inc. to act as deputy tax collector for the Borough of Heidelberg and Township of Collier and to serve as tax collector for the Township of Scott. The board also approved facility and energy contracts, including work by Johnson Controls to replace the Intermediate School fire alarm panel and a one-month metering and analysis with Eaton Corporation.

Board members approved the Parkway West Jointure budget for 2026–27 totaling $1,628,684, with Chartiers Valley’s share of $77,765.08, and the Parkway West general operating budget of $10,147,639, with Chartiers Valley’s share of $1,003,223.68.
