Lunenburg supervisors adopt school payroll timing and appropriate $266,980 in CRF to schools

The Lunenburg County Board of Supervisors voted Nov. 12 to adopt a School Board resolution changing the payroll timing so teachers and other school personnel would be paid on the last teaching day of the school year, Dec. 18, 2020.
Administrator Tracy M. Gee reported the School Board had also been awarded $266,980 in Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) that became available after the FY2021 budget was approved. The Board voted to adopt and appropriate the additional $266,980 to the FY2021 School Board budget, revising the total budget to $20,360,188.
Supervisor T. Wayne Hoover moved approval of the payroll date resolution and the appropriation passed by roll call vote with all seven supervisors voting yes.
