Gee told the board that 16 applicants met all requirements for the second round and that the CARES Act committee recommended doubling awards per recipient, bringing second-round awards to $131,500. The committee also proposed distributing the remaining $50,000 across all eligible applicants from both rounds; the transcript records the committee’s recommendation that total grant funding across rounds could reach $400,000 if allocations proceed as proposed.
Supervisor Mike Hankins moved the funding measure; the motion passed on roll call with six supervisors voting yes and Supervisor T. Wayne Hoover recorded as abstaining.
