Lunenburg supervisors approve $339,190 contract for Old Lunenburg Middle School project

Wayne Hoover moved to approve the contract from Timmons Group between contractor S. B. Cox, Inc. and the county; the motion passed with five supervisors voting yes, one abstention and one absent.
County Administrator Tracy M. Gee presented the contract and said the project is within the adopted budget provided there are no unexpected change orders. Supervisor Robert Zava abstained from the vote, stating he had just received the contract prior to the meeting. The board did not identify any changes to the scope during the motion.
The approval authorizes the county to proceed with the work outlined in the contract. No timetable for construction or anticipated completion was provided at the meeting.
The board adjourned following routine business.
