Expense increases include the required local match for certain State Department of Education programs, a minimum wage increase effect for solid‑waste attendants, compression adjustments for the Social Services Department, and a Sheriff’s Office request to fund a new 911 coordinator position that will be covered by vacancy savings.
The finance committee recommended appropriating school funds through the January 2022 Board meeting while assessing enrollment numbers to determine funding for the final two quarters of the fiscal year; the board adopted the budget and separately moved to appropriate the advertised budget with that school‑fund timing condition.
The board voted unanimously on both adoption and appropriation motions as recorded in the meeting minutes.
