Lunenburg supervisors reappoint IDA and planning commissioners, fill advisory board vacancy

At its Dec. 9 meeting the Lunenburg County Board of Supervisors approved multiple appointments and reappointments covering the Industrial Development Authority, the Planning Commission and the Social Services Advisory Board.
Administrator Tracy M. Gee told the board that David Hite (District 2) and Fred Wilkinson (District 3) agreed to serve another term on the Industrial Development Authority from Jan. 1, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2025. Brenda Jennings (District 5) and James Tharpe (District 7) agreed to serve another term on the Planning Commission for the same period. The board also appointed Kevin Smith of 115 High Tower Road, Green Bay, to serve for District 7 on the Industrial Development Authority and named David Fereday of Kenbridge to the Social Services Advisory Board for District 2.
Supervisor T. Wayne Hoover moved to approve the slate of appointments; the motion passed by roll call vote with all seven supervisors voting yes. Terms for the appointed and reappointed members begin Jan. 1, 2022 and run through Dec. 31, 2025 where noted.
