Charlevoix County Transportation Authority elects Scott Hankins chair, keeps monthly schedule and approves bills

The Charlevoix County Transportation Authority on Jan. 14 elected Authority member Scott Hankins as chair and confirmed Pat Klooster as vice-chair, maintaining the board’s monthly meeting schedule on the second Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.
The nominations were made and approved by roll call votes of 3-0. Pat Klooster moved to nominate Hankins as chair; Michael Cunningham seconded and the motion carried. Hankins then moved to nominate Klooster as vice-chair; Cunningham seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
The board also approved the minutes of its Dec. 10, 2024 meeting as amended to reflect Member Michael Cunningham’s request that county Finance explore assuming administrative duties for the Transportation Coordinator role and Transit Director Joe Kroll’s question about why the position was removed from Transit.
The Authority approved December 2024 monthly bills totaling $16,466.60 on a motion by Pat Klooster, seconded by Michael Cunningham; the roll call was 3-0 in favor.
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. and adjourned at 10:13 a.m. The next meeting is set for Feb. 11, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
