Barry County’s Committee of the Whole on Sept. 3 moved to schedule a public hearing on the proposed 2025 county budget during the regular Board of Commissioners meeting on Oct. 22, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.
Commissioner David Hatfield moved the recommendation and Commissioner Bruce Campbell supported it. The committee also voted to recommend adoption of Resolution #24-22 to adopt the 2025 Barry County Budget, the General Appropriations Act, and the millage after holding the public hearing; the motion carried with all ayes and Commissioner Jon Smelker absent.
