The Fulton County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 16 approved a package of routine administrative and personnel items, including payables totaling $281,921.91 and several board appointments and reappointments.
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16, 2025, totaling $281,921.91; the minutes list a $214,588.09 draw on Fund 100 (General Fund), $46,105.21 from Opioid Settlement Funds and smaller amounts in several other funds. The motion passed unanimously.
During departmental matters with Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress, the board approved a motion by Commissioner Hann to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee effective Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, and approved a separate motion to advertise for an "Enforcement Officer 1" both internally and externally. Those personnel motions were recorded as unanimous.
Other administrative actions recorded in the minutes included:
- Retroactive approval of a Momentive Software, Inc. renewal order for the Fiscal Department at $1,660.48 (motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible; unanimous).
- Approval of a request from the Sheriff's Department for physician services for an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility (motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch; unanimous).
- Appointment of Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board for a four-year term ending Dec. 31, 2027 (motion by Commissioner Bunch; unanimous).
- Reappointment of Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to two-year terms on the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board ending Dec. 31, 2027 (motion by Commissioner Hann; unanimous).
- Approval to advertise the 2026 Commissioners' meeting dates in the Fulton County Newspaper (motion by Commissioner Bunch; unanimous).
The minutes note two short executive sessions for personnel matters (9:36–9:38 a.m. and 10:52–11:30 a.m.) and a cancelled DCED Financial Monitoring Interview scheduled for 11:30 a.m.; DCED requested to meet instead with SEDA COG and the chief clerk. The meeting was adjourned at 11:45 a.m. on a motion by Commissioner Bunch.
