Dr. Thompson said the elementary school is finishing ACAP practice and has seen “a lot of growth … especially in our areas of math and reading,” and noted upcoming PTO events and plans to reinvest council funds in supplies, painting and classroom needs.
Mister Hammond (middle/high school speaker) thanked the council for long‑standing support, said the district had lost three teacher units in recent years but has shown “growth over the last couple of years,” and emphasized college and career readiness efforts such as upcoming excavator training and certification for students.
Why it matters: The one‑time appropriations provide flexible local support for school supplies, student activities and programs; council members emphasized using the funding for visible classroom and extracurricular needs ahead of spring assessments.
