County council unanimously adds Honey Solar property to Sumter-Lee Industrial Park
Summary
Council adopted on third reading an ordinance to enlarge the Sumter-Lee Industrial Park to include property owned or operated by Honey Solar LLC.
Sumter County Council adopted Ordinance #22-981 on third reading to amend the master agreement governing the Sumter-Lee Industrial Park so property owned and/or operated by Honey Solar LLC can be included in the park.
County Attorney Johnathan Bryan presented the ordinance and the chairman opened a public hearing; no members of the public spoke. On third reading Vice Chairman James R. Byrd moved adoption; Councilman Artie Baker seconded and the council unanimously carried the motion to adopt.
The ordinance enlarges the park boundaries to include the Honey Solar property and authorizes related matters as set out in the agreement presented to council.
