Delaware County commissioners approve routine claims, $100,000 correction transfer and property bid

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners met Feb. 17 in Jay and approved a series of routine administrative actions, including the minutes from Feb. 10 and acceptance of monthly reports.
Commissioner Jake Callihan moved and Commissioner David Beck seconded a motion that the meeting notice was properly posted under the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act; the board approved on a 3-0 roll call. The board then voted 3-0 to approve the minutes and accept all monthly reports submitted by county officers.
The board approved payment of a large set of claims across county funds, including Emergency Management, General, Health, Highway and Rural Fire accounts. Notable items in the claims list include audit fees to Ober & Littlefield CPA's PLLC ($2,900), multiple Quadient Leasing lease payments, significant fuel charges to Fuelman of Oklahoma and utility payments to Jay Utilities Authority. The motion to pay claims passed on a unanimous roll call.
The board accepted a bid of $40 from Jason Knight on behalf of the Treasurer's Office for Flint Ridge 1 Amended, Lots 52 and 53 in Block Two of the Fox Creek area. The motion was made by Commissioner Callihan, seconded by Commissioner Beck and approved 3-0.
To correct a prior accounting error for District 2, the commissioners approved an interfund transfer of $100,000 from the sales tax account (1102-6-4200-4130) to the budgeted lease/purchase account (1313-6-8042-2005). Commissioner Callihan moved the transfer, Commissioner Beck seconded, and the roll call was unanimous.
The board also authorized signatures on March blanket purchase orders and highway cash documents after unanimous votes, and adjourned at 1:22 p.m.
