County to solicit bids for pumper truck, signs bridge plans invoice and accepts road material bids

The board instructed the County Clerk to advertise sealed bids for a used pumper truck with trade‑in for the Jay Fire Department (Bid #25‑26/10). Bids will be accepted through Jan. 15, 2026, at 4 p.m. and are scheduled for opening and review at the board's regular meeting on Jan. 20, 2026. The board reserved the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
Commissioners also approved signing an invoice to the Cherokee Nation for plans, specifications and estimates related to Bridge #35, Project JP‑30482(04), over Whitewater Creek in District 1; Chairman David Poindexter noted the bridge's location on Stand Waite Road just east of the fire department.
Separately, the board accepted six‑month road material bids for the Delaware County Highway Departments (County bid #25‑26/08) and completed routine appointments, including reconfirming David Poindexter and County Clerk Barbara Barnes as the county's Grand Gateway Economic Development Association representatives for 2026.
