The Delaware County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Dec. 23 to approve a lengthy list of vendor claims across county funds, covering routine operating costs, highway maintenance, and insurance payments.
Approved claims included an insurance payment to ACCO‑SIG for $87,465.00 and highway‑program invoices such as a payment to Ellsworth Pavement Maintenance listed at $62,829.70 (Hwy‑ST). The claims package covered purchases and services for multiple departments, including Road and Bridge, Rural Fire, Health, and general government supplies and services.
On the same agenda the board approved an interfund transfer of $426,924.50 from the Highway M&O account to a grant fund to correct an accounting error. Chairman David Poindexter presented the transfer; Commissioners Jake Callihan and David Beck joined him in a unanimous roll call vote to carry the measure.
The board also approved routine minutes, established public comment rules for the meeting and handled additional procurement and appointment items in a single session. Most finance and transfer actions were adopted without discussion or opposition.
