Delaware County HR reports 128 employees, safety award and new SwiftMD benefit

Human Resources Director Vicki Cossairt reported to the Delaware County Board on staffing and employee benefits during the Dec. 9 meeting.
Cossairt said the county has 128 employees, with one new hire and one exit since the previous week and 10 open positions across departments. She announced safety awards of $250 per eligible employee to be included on the Dec. 15 paycheck and said appreciation hams would be distributed on Dec. 16. Cossairt described SwiftMD as a free service that will be available through the county’s insurance plan and said a $1,000 health savings account (HSA) contribution will be loaded onto employee cards soon. She also reminded the board that the full Social Security retirement age for full benefits will be 67 beginning Jan. 1.
Commissioner Beck moved to accept the HR report and Commissioner Callihan seconded; motions on HR matters and related program approvals carried by recorded vote of the two commissioners present.
