Delaware County HR announces telehealth, $250 safety awards and benefits start dates

Vicki Cossairt, Delaware County human resources director, updated the Board of County Commissioners on employee benefits and personnel matters at the Dec. 2 meeting.
Cossairt said employees cannot receive both workers' compensation and lost-time compensation simultaneously and reminded elected officials to verify employee time cards when signing them. She announced that safety awards of $250 per employee will be added to Dec. 15 paychecks and that employee appreciation gifts will be distributed on Dec. 16.
Cossairt also said a Swift MD telehealth program will be provided to all county employees free beginning Jan. 1, and that new benefits elected in October will also start Jan. 1. She said the county has 125 employees and that since last week there has been one hire and one exit.
Cossairt’s remarks were recorded during the Human Resources report portion of the meeting; the board recorded no further action on benefits beyond the informational update.
