The Delaware County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved payment of county claims at its Nov. 25 meeting, authorizing a large set of vendor and department expenditures across general, highway, emergency services and other funds.
The claims docket included high-value highway and road-material purchases. Among the larger single invoices listed were two Pryor Asphalt charges of $71,407.93 and $162,294.69. Multiple purchases from Pryor Stone and other road-material suppliers were approved, along with several lease and vehicle payments for highway operations.
Other approved items on the claims list included routine county costs such as postage and subscriptions, emergency-management monthly services, and law-library and health-fund disbursements. The motion to approve the claims was made by Commissioner Jake Callihan and seconded by Commissioner David Beck; the roll-call vote was unanimous (Poindexter, Callihan, Beck: yes).
The board did not debate or amend the individual claims during the public meeting; the approvals were handled as a single consent item on the agenda.
