Whitfield County approves contracts, purchases and personnel supplements including Cisco support and fire uniforms

The board approved renewal of Cisco support with Disys Solutions Inc. under the state contract at $27,182.72 to cover network and voice hardware, licensing and four-hour replacement coverage for critical items.
Procurements and surplus actions approved included purchase of a 2021 Exprolink Madvac litter vacuum from Environmental Product Group using Sourcewell contract #122017-EXP for $16,135, purchase of Nomex protective uniforms for the Fire Department from Cintas for $52,750, and the placement of multiple surplus vehicles (Fire Department and Public Works) on GovDeals.com.
The board also approved a $75 supplement for each of four Coroners Office employees, to be funded from within the Coroners existing budget. Several appointments and reappointments were recorded, including postponement of the Northwest Georgia Region 1 EMS Council seat appointment and reappointment of Cathy Snyder to the Dalton Convention Center Authority. All motions recorded in the minutes passed 3-0.
