The Whitfield County Board of Commissioners held a special called meeting March 15, 2021, at 201 S. Hamilton St. in Dalton. Commissioners Greg Jones and Barry W. Robbins approved the meeting agenda, and the board voted to enter an executive session to discuss personnel matters.
Commissioner Greg Jones moved to approve the agenda; Commissioner Barry W. Robbins seconded the motion, which the record shows passed 2-0 with Commissioners Jones and Robbins in agreement. Later in the meeting, Jones moved and Robbins seconded a motion to enter an executive session "to discuss personnel," which was approved 2-0. County Administrator Mark Gibson and Human Resources Director Jackie Carlo were listed as present for the executive session along with Chairman Jevin Jensen and the two voting commissioners.
After the executive session, Commissioner Barry W. Robbins moved and Commissioner Greg Jones seconded a motion to come out of the executive session; that motion was recorded as approved 2-0.
