DALTON, Ga. — The Whitfield County Board of Commissioners appointed Robert J. Sivick as county administrator and approved a two-year employment contract during a special called meeting Sept. 20, 2021, at 201 S. Hamilton St., Dalton.
The motion to appoint Sivick was made by Commissioner Barry W. Robbins and seconded by Commissioner Robby Staten. The board approved the motion 4-0, with Commissioners John Thomas, Barry W. Robbins, Robby Staten and Greg Jones recorded as voting in favor. The contract term was set to expire Sept. 23, 2023.
Earlier in the meeting, commissioners approved the meeting agenda on a 4-0 vote after a motion by Commissioner Greg Jones and a second by Commissioner Robby Staten.
Chairman Jevin Jensen called the meeting to order. The minutes record that the session was adjourned unanimously after the appointment. The minutes included signatures from Chairman Jevin Jensen and Blanca Cardona, county clerk.
