The petition (TC‑ZA‑23‑01) lists Mark Fletcher as owner with Nick Stein as agent for the project at 4192 GA Highway 125 North (Tax Map 0057 Parcel 008). Development Support Services Director Chris Davis explained the ordinance requires a special exception by the Board and that the Planning Commission considered the petition on Jan. 12 and recommended approval by a 4–1 vote.
Davis said several people attended the Planning Commission hearing to speak in opposition to the project, three citizens spoke in favor and the DSS office received two phone calls opposing the petition. The workshop record does not include the text of those public comments.
At the workshop the Board indicated the item would be heard at the Feb. 13 regular meeting; no Board decision was made at the workshop. Any conditions, required mitigation measures, or final Board action will be recorded in the minutes of the Feb. 13 meeting.
