At a public hearing on July 24 the Unified Government of Cusseta–Chattahoochee County approved a conditional-use permit to place a manufactured home on a 1.35-acre parcel at 131 Pine Hill Road. Commissioner Timothy Biddle moved to approve the permit; Commissioner Jason Frost seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
Applicant James Shulterbrondt spoke at the hearing and said he is seeking the permit to place a manufactured home on the lot. Neighbors present spoke in support; Beverly Riley, who said she does not live in the immediate area, also offered support for the applicant receiving his permit. Chairman Charles Coffey noted the CUP process exists to allow manufactured homes in R‑1 zoning under conditions that address septic, setbacks and other standards.
Separately, the commission had previously tabled another conditional-use matter — for 110 Stagecoach Drive — until its Aug. 6 regular meeting because of pending litigation related to that parcel. The minutes record that the tabling motion passed after a second and that one commissioner abstained; the minutes do not identify which commissioner abstained.
