The Unified Government of Cusseta–Chattahoochee County on May 6 approved several agenda motions including a TSPLOST-funded equipment purchase and a banking-signature resolution.
Commissioner Timothy Biddle moved to accept the lower Carson Brothers quote for a batwing tractor and Commissioner Gerald Douglas seconded; the minutes record the vote as unanimous and the motion carried. The board also approved a resolution designating County Manager Thomas Weaver as an authorized signer for the Unified Government's Ozark Bank accounts; the resolution requires the bank be furnished the name and specimen signature and remains in effect until the board notifies the bank in writing.
Commissioner Jason Frost moved and Commissioner Damon Hoyte seconded a motion to table a proposed garbage-rate increase while staff research the cost and the option of bringing trash service in house; the vote was unanimous.
The commission unanimously approved a proclamation honoring Milton “Wade” Coleman for his decades of local service, and asked to display the plaque publicly because the family could not attend. The meeting also went into executive session later the same day for permitted legal and personnel matters.
