County deletes one bridge from federal inventory and posts weight limits on 19 bridges

The commission approved the deletion by roll call, 5 ayes.
Buthe also presented inspection results for nineteen bridges and recommended posting weight limits. The commission adopted Resolution MC20-50, which supersedes earlier postings and lists specific single-unit and combination-unit tonnage limits for each structure. For example, Structure 50-273-090 is posted single unit 18 tons and combination unit 30 tons; other structures have limits ranging up to 30 tons single/50 tons combination in the listing provided to the commission. The resolution directs the Highway Superintendent to erect signage immediately and notes violations are Class 2 misdemeanors under SDCL 32-22-48. The commission voted by roll call, 5 ayes.
