County approves $135,700 chiller design contract, extends jail food service with Summit Foods

Jail Warden Mike Mattson described the Summit Food amendment: it extends the contract from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, moves meal pricing to a sliding scale based on jail population, ends inmate labor in the kitchen and requires staffing solely by Summit employees. The commission approved both authorizations by voice vote (5 ayes).
