Carol Muller, Commission Administrative Officer, briefed the board that the lien totaled $2,842.20 for services provided between December 2006 and May 2014 and that the applicant needed to clear the lien to complete a pending home purchase. Commissioners said they supported compromising the lien for the documented amount of Public Defender services and approved the resolution. MOTION by Heiberger, seconded by Barth; by roll call vote: 4 ayes.
The resolution’s text was read into the record and the chair and county auditor were authorized to execute the compromise and release according to the conditions set by the commission. The county record notes the conditional one‑year timeframe if payment is not received.
