The Minnehaha County Commission on July 7, 2020, approved a package of personnel actions, including step increases for multiple county employees and a temporary staffing authorization for the Treasurer’s Office. The personnel motion passed on a 5-0 vote.
Step increases approved on the record included Anna Schreurs (Senior Accounting Tech, Auditor’s Office), Victoria Huitt (Accounting Manager, Auditor’s Office), Olivia Larson (Commission Recorder), Deborah O’Donnell (Administrative Clerk, Human Services), Holly Schleuter (Caseworker, Human Services), Jeffrey Gromer (Chief Deputy Sheriff, Sheriff’s Office) and Carole James (Senior Deputy State’s Attorney). The Commission also recognized employee anniversaries for July 2020.
At the request of Human Resources Director Carey Deaver and Treasurer Pam Nelson, the Commission authorized temporarily hiring one Tax and License Technician beyond the authorized complement in the Treasurer’s Office to address workload needs; that motion passed 5-0. The personnel motion was moved by Commissioner Barth and seconded by Commissioner Heiberger.
No additional conditions or dollar amounts for the temporary hire were provided on the record. The Commission recorded these personnel approvals and moved on to other business.
