Minnehaha County commissioners approved the Highway Department’s request on Aug. 11 to purchase two Henke dump bodies and hydraulic systems at a total cost of $279,618.
Highway Superintendent DJ Buthe, participating via Zoom, said the equipment is available through Sourcewell Contract #080818-HEN and that Sanitation Products Inc., the local dealer, will supply the units. Buthe confirmed the purchase is included in the revised 2021 Highway budget.
The board voted 5-0 on a motion by Commissioner Barth to approve the purchase; Commissioner Karsky seconded. The purchase was authorized by roll call vote.
