The Minnehaha County Commission authorized the Auditor to publish a Notice of Hearing for Ordinance #20-03, which would amend the 1990 Revised Zoning Ordinance to rezone Tract 2A Wold Tracts from A-1 (Agriculture District) to C (Commercial District).
Planner David Heinold gave the first reading and requested the hearing publication. Commissioner Heiberger moved to authorize the Auditor to publish the notice for an Aug. 25, 2020 hearing; Commissioner Barth seconded. The motion passed by a roll call vote of 4 ayes.
The ordinance covers property legally described as Tract 2A Wold Tracts in the NW1/4 NW1/4, Section 27-T103N-R49W, located south of the County Highway 122 and South Dakota State Highway 115 intersection. The hearing will allow public comment and record testimony before the Commission takes further action on the rezoning request.
No public opposition was recorded at the time of authorization. The Commission’s action at the Aug. 25 hearing will determine whether the ordinance moves forward to subsequent readings or is denied.
