The council unanimously approved changes to the fire-department Visa account so the card is a standard departmental card (removing an individual name) and allowed the accounts-payable clerk and city clerk inquiry access for billing purposes; the chief will continue to preauthorize card use as needed.
On procurement and contracts, council authorized the mayor and staff to sign a professional-services proposal with consulting engineer Paxton Reese to provide on-call engineering services to replace a retired consulting engineer. The meeting also recorded approval of garbage-exemption affidavits for two residents and building permits for window replacement, HVAC work at Walgreens and a bank signage change.
