Charlotte County Electoral Board confirms officers, sets 2025 meeting schedule and budget work session

The Charlotte County Electoral Board on Jan. 9 confirmed its leadership for 2025 and adopted a regular monthly meeting schedule, while approving minutes from four prior meetings without objection.
The action keeps Glenn Baker as chairman, Glenwood Foster as assistant chairman and Aubrey Fane as secretary. The board set its 2025 stated meetings for the second Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. and scheduled a budget work session for Jan. 31, with lunch at noon and the work session to begin at 1 p.m.
Board members approved minutes for the Oct. 3, 2024 EB meeting; the Nov. 6–13, 2024 General Election canvas meeting; the Nov. 20, 2024 special called meeting to resolve a four-way tie in the Phenix Town Council election; and the Nov. 20, 2024 risk-limiting audit for the U.S. Senate election. Each set of minutes was accepted following a motion by Glenwood Foster and was recorded as approved without objection.
The board also noted administrative items in the registrar’s packet, including a written report, a budget synopsis and election data from the 2024 general election. The board confirmed reservations for the VEBA annual meeting March 23–25 and designated Aubrey Fane, a reappointed board member, to attend the VEBA boot camp on March 23.
The board set its next regular meeting for Feb. 13, 2025, at 1 p.m. A motion to adjourn by Secretary Aubrey Fane was carried without objection.
