County staff reviewed the consent agenda scheduled for the Board’s Sept. 8 regular meeting. Items noted during the work session included an approval request for acquisition of three conservation easements (119 acres, 147 acres and 76 acres) with a total estimated county cost of $1.8 million; a contract with Boundtree Medical for video laryngoscopes not to exceed $146,073.12; a ballot‑printing contract with Runbeck Election Services for $105,000; multiple public health budget ordinance amendments recognizing grant funds; and wastewater and residuals transport contract amendments increasing several contract ceilings.
Celeste Burns, Durham County Open Space Manager, said staff recognized conservation easement participants during farm tours, visited landowners to thank them and coordinated public announcements, and noted that some participants asked to remain private.
No board questions were recorded on the consent items during the work session; the items were placed on the Sept. 8 regular session consent agenda for final action.
