Burleson County Commissioners Court met Feb. 14, 2022 in the county courthouse in Caldwell and unanimously approved an order calling a special election on May 7 to consider creation of a Burleson County Assistance District and the imposition of a sales and use tax.
Judge Pro-Tem David Hildebrand called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m., and the court opened with the Pledge and a prayer by Pastor Juan Frausto of One Church in Caldwell. Sheriff Hermes told the court that dispatch and IT problems have been resolved and reported the county jail held 62 inmates, three of whom were from Milam County.
