He also announced a City of Franklin meeting to present results from a recent comprehensive‑plan survey on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Cornerstone Building and said the Industry Appreciation Luncheon will be held at noon Dec. 6 at F‑S High School, with the school’s culinary arts class preparing the meal.
Magistrate Marty Chandler noted that the Community Park Christmas Light Show will begin the weekend after Thanksgiving and run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through the season; Parks Director Lisa Deavers reported strong community support. County Attorney Sam Phillips announced the Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast will resume this Saturday after a COVID‑era pause. Public Works Director Bobby Groves acknowledged Valley Ridge Concrete’s donation of concrete and dye used to improve the pad for the downtown Christmas tree at Main and Cedar; county employees provided the labor.
