Franklin County Fiscal Court receives audit and treasurer's reports, approves HB1 grant resolution and reappoints county treasurer

At its June 7 meeting Franklin County Fiscal Court took several administrative actions: it received the audit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022 and received the Treasurer's Report; it adopted a resolution to authorize filing an application under Kentucky House Bill 1 (HB1) for jail arraignment equipment; and, after a closed session, it reappointed County Treasurer Amy Quatman to a four‑year term.
Squire J.W. Blackburn moved and Squire Sherry Sebastian seconded receiving the audit report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022. Squire Sherry Sebastian moved and Squire Eric Whisman seconded receiving the Treasurer's Report; no motion was made to deny any claim and bills were ordered paid.
The court adopted a resolution authorizing filing of the HB1 Jail Arraignment Equipment Grant application on a motion by Squire Sherry Sebastian and second by Squire Eric Whisman; the motion passed.
The court voted to enter a closed session under KRS 61.810(1)(f) to discuss matters that might lead to the appointment, discipline or dismissal of an individual employee, then returned to open session. Following the return, the court authorized reappointment of County Treasurer Amy Quatman for a four‑year term on a motion by Squire Scotty Tracy and second by Squire Sherry Sebastian; the motion passed unanimously.
