Fleming County Fiscal Court approves routine business, appoints water district member and promotes road supervisor

The Fleming County Fiscal Court unanimously approved a slate of routine actions at its July 14, 2020 meeting at the Fleming County Courthouse, including minutes, financial reports, transfers and personnel actions.
County Judge/Executive Larry H. Foxworthy called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and the court moved to approve the minutes of June 9 and June 22, 2020. Motions to renew the county’s annual Softworks agreement and to approve claims and carry-in claims were also approved without opposition.
The court approved the County Treasurer’s annual, quarterly and month-end financial statements for June 30, 2020, reporting total funds of $1,593,836.43 distributed across the General Fund ($703,511.96), Road Fund ($296,705.61), Dispatch Fund ($124,187.56), Capital Improvement Fund ($305,544.93) and smaller funds listed in the report. The June 2020 County Road Maintenance Report was approved; that report totaled $81,160.31 with district-level amounts included in the record.
Judge/Executive Foxworthy recommended appointing Jeff Donovan to fill the remainder of Billy McIntyre’s term on the Western Fleming County Water District board; the court approved the appointment through July 17, 2021.
Effective July 1, 2020 the court approved the promotion of Justin Gray to Assistant Road Department Supervisor at an hourly wage of $17.00 and a $25 monthly cell-phone allowance.
Other routine administrative actions approved by unanimous vote included budget transfers, cash transfers and approval of the Fleming County Clerk’s monthly and second-quarter reports as well as the sheriff’s second-quarter report.
