Fleming County Fiscal Court approves routine contracts, budgets and KY 911 grant application

At its Jan. 12, 2021 meeting in Flemingsburg, the Fleming County Fiscal Court unanimously approved a series of routine administrative and financial items.
The court approved renewal provisions of two contracts with Jody Gray: Janitorial and Maintenance for the Judicial Center at $63,900 annually and Janitorial for the Courthouse and Maintenance Garage at $28,800 annually; per contract provisions, bids will be taken in December 2021. The court also approved Resolution 21-1318 authorizing application for a KY 911 grant and gave the County Judge/Executive authority to sign required documents; Dispatch Director Charlotte Benton said the grant would be for a new Dispatch 911 recording system.
County Treasurer Kathy Dryden presented month-end and quarterly financial reports ending Dec. 31, 2020 totaling $2,062,904.96 (General Fund $1,377,139.95; Road Fund $93,921.64; Jail Fund $8,270.82; LGEA $154,216.37; Forest Fire $1,421.70; Revolving Loan $14.34; Dispatch $130,549.73; Capital Improvement $297,370.41), and the court approved the reports. The court also approved budget transfers, cash transfers and claims reports, including payment to Clinical Solutions for inmate pharmacy charges of $120.36. The Annual Salary Order for county employees and Fleming County Clerk reports, the Clerk's 2021 budget and the 2021 Annual Order setting deputy clerks' salaries were approved as presented.
The Fleming County Sheriff will surplus two additional vehicles for public sale at the next scheduled online auction by Chuck Marshall Auction, and the Sheriff's office has scheduled a new phone-system installation. Assistant County Attorney Nathan Tomlin updated the court on orders ceasing in-person court sessions and said he would review solar project documents upon receipt.
The meeting recessed from 11:06 a.m. to 11:12 a.m. The court adjourned at 11:40 a.m.
