Fleming County Fiscal Court members on Feb. 9 approved a series of routine fiscal and operational items including the Treasurer’s month‑end report, budget and cash transfers, claims, and departmental reports.
The Treasurer’s report for Jan. 31, 2021 was approved as presented; the meeting record lists a total of $2,805,609.28 with fund balances including General Fund $1,625,107.11 and Dispatch Fund $340,364.01 among others. The court approved budget transfers and cash transfers as presented and approved claims and carry‑in claims reports.
Fleming County Clerk "Fritz" presented the clerk’s month‑end report and an amended 2020 clerk budget; both were approved. The Sheriff’s month‑end report was approved and the court declared two sheriff vehicles (2003 Ford Crown Victoria and 2013 Dodge Charger) surplus to be sold at the next scheduled online auction with Chuck Marshall Auctions.
The court also approved the first reading of Ordinance 21‑1323 (budget amendment) and approved an amended Dec. 31, 2020 Quarterly Treasurer’s Report. Motions on these routine items were recorded as unanimous.
Next steps: surplus vehicles will be listed for online auction, and the Clerk will file the approved budget amendments and reports as required.
