Fleming County approves board reappointments and formalizes ABC interlocal agreement with Flemingsburg

At its Feb. 9 meeting the Fleming County Fiscal Court approved several personnel and board appointments and formalized an interlocal Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) arrangement with the City of Flemingsburg.
The court approved the reappointment of Vernon Barton to the Western Fleming County Water District Board for a term running Feb. 14, 2021–Feb. 14, 2025. The court also approved Magistrate District One’s recommendation to reappoint Chip Spann and Magistrate District Five’s recommendation to reappoint Tony Workman to the Fox Valley Recreation Park Board (terms 2/21/2021–2/21/2024). All reappointments were recorded as unanimous.
The court approved County Judge/Executive Larry H. Foxworthy’s appointment of Becky Bowling as County ABC Administrator effective Jan. 12, 2021. The appointment was accompanied by the adoption of Resolution 21‑1319 and an interlocal agreement with the City of Flemingsburg that formalize county/city ABC administration and a listed salary of $25.00 per hour for the County ABC Administrator. "[The resolution] pertains to the adoption of Interlocal Agreement with City of Flemingsburg for Alcohol Beverage Control and County ABC Administrator appointment and salary of $25.00 per hour," the meeting record states.
All motions related to these appointments and the interlocal ABC agreement passed unanimously. The Judge/Executive was authorized to sign and execute related documents where noted.
Next steps: the Clerk’s office and Judge/Executive will complete any required paperwork to implement the interlocal agreement and to finalize board appointment records.
