Mayor Johnson read an accreditation award for the Snowflake–Taylor Police Department at the Town Council meeting on Aug. 3, 2021. Police Chief Martin joined by phone and said the department had been assessed in June and “this award shows that the department is meeting the best practices for law enforcement.”
The chief said the accreditation is valid for four years, at which point the department will be reassessed to renew the designation. Councilmembers applauded the recognition during the proclamations and recognitions portion of the meeting.
