He also briefed the committee on how parking and transportation were handled during the recent Sevier County Fair. The update on fair logistics was described as informational; no requests for funding or formal actions were made at the meeting.
Mayor Larry Waters, participating by phone, informed the committee that he was not in favor of purchasing the property. The committee did not take a purchase vote or otherwise authorize acquisition during the Sept. 5 session.
The appraisal and related updates will remain on the committee's docket for future meetings; the committee adjourned at 4:30 PM.
