At the Oct. 10 meeting of the Sevier County Solid Waste Special Committee, Commissioner Warren Hurst moved to reinstate the current chairman, Commissioner Kent Woods, and Director Andrew Temple as secretary. Commissioner Kent Woods seconded the motion and the committee approved it unanimously.
The committee received a short operations update and a reopening notice for the Pigeon Forge Convenience Center, heard an update on the future Wears Valley Road Convenience Center site from Mayor Larry Waters, and then adjourned. The motion to adjourn, made by Commissioner Warren Hurst and seconded by Commissioner Ronnie Whaley, was approved and the meeting concluded at 3:44 PM.
