At the May 17 Dickson County Commission meeting, County Mayor and Chairman Bob Rail said he would explore with the City the possibility of moving the Farmers Market to the Jackson Academy property. The commission deferred action on a possible speed-limit change for Westcott Road; the item was moved to the June meeting for further consideration. No formal motion or vote on a speed-limit change was recorded at this session.
Commissioners approved reappointments for Scott England and Tim Spann (motion by Commissioner Danny Williams, second by Commissioner Clayton Ellis) and accepted the third-quarter financial reports for school funds and for all other county funds (motions recorded and passed by unanimous voice vote). County Clerk Luanne Greer submitted a list of notaries, which the commission approved on a motion by Commissioner Carl Buckner, seconded by Commissioner Johnnie Reed.
Announcements included a Special Called meeting scheduled for June 7, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., a Farm to Table Dinner on Sept. 23, 2021, a Chamber Coffee re-dedicating the Janet A. Harris Community Room on May 27, 2021, and a Memorial Day Service in Dickson at 10:00 a.m. The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
