Dickson County Commission accepts quarterly financial reports, approves $588.63 write-off and notes $2 million paving funding

At its Feb. 22 meeting the Dickson County Commission approved quarterly financial reports and authorized a small write-off of uncollectible transactions from the County Clerk’s Office.
Commissioner Linda Hayes moved and Commissioner Johnnie Reed seconded approval of the Quarterly Financial Reports — All Funds except Schools — for the second quarter ending Dec. 31, 2020; the motion passed by unanimous aye voice vote. Commissioner Dwight McIllwain moved and Commissioner Stacey Batey seconded approval of the Quarterly Financial Reports for All Schools Funds for the same quarter; that motion also passed by unanimous voice vote.
The commission also approved Resolution 02-2021-01 to write off uncollectible transactions in the County Clerk’s Office for 2019–2020 in the amount of $588.63 (items listed as bad checks, bankruptcies, etc.). The motion to approve the write-off was moved by Commissioner Johnnie Reed and seconded by Commissioner Carl Buckner and passed by unanimous voice vote.
Separately noted in the minutes was that ct-0253 funding is in place for a $2,000,000 paving project; the minutes record the funding statement as a notation and do not list a separate motion or vote for the paving project in the published minutes.
