At its Dec. 20 meeting the Bland County Board of Supervisors approved routine financial and administrative items in unanimous votes.
The consent agenda approved payroll issued Nov. 30 ($116,531.46) and Dec. 16 ($173,019.37), departmental reports, appropriation of the October 2022 Social Services local allotment ($13,982.75), and the Bland County School Board's January 2023 requisition ($887,126.08). The board also approved a trash billing adjustment for Sept.–Dec. 2022 totaling $4,807.05 on a motion by Supervisor Stephen Kelley, seconded by Supervisor Adam Kidd.
Separately, the board unanimously adopted a resolution supporting the Bland County Ministry Center and Dental Clinic's application to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for a Community Development Block Grant. The meeting was recessed to Jan. 3, 2023.
