Bland County supervisors enter executive session to consider county administrator applicants

At a continued meeting Jan. 16, 2023, the Bland County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to go into an executive session to consider applicants for the county administrator position.
Supervisor Keith Costello moved to enter the closed session for personnel matters related to County Administrator applicants under Code of Virginia §2.2-3711(A)(1); Supervisor Randy Johnson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The meeting was held at the Bland Cooperative Extension Office and opened by Chairman Adam Kidd at 1:00 p.m.
After the closed session, the board returned to regular session on a motion by Randy Johnson, seconded by Keith Costello. Supervisor Stephen Kelley moved to adopt the Certification of Executive Meeting under Code of Virginia §2.2-3712; Randy Johnson seconded. The record shows a roll-call vote with Kelley, Johnson, Costello and Kidd all voting "yea," and the certification motion passed unanimously.
